The people who buy enterprise software aren’t the people who use enterprise software. That’s where the disconnect begins. And it pulls and pulls and pulls until the user experience is split from the buying experience so severely that the software vendors are building for the buyers, not the users. 1 Comment Totally. This was one of the major reasons why, as a Frontend Engineer/UI designer, it made sense to move from an enterprise software company to a consumer-facing website. The former type of company has every reason to lower the priority of usability projects, whereas these are absolutely critical to the latter. |
